It was an absolutely perfect weather day. Typically Kauai has a lot of liquid sunshine but not today it was a perfect temperature in the low to mid 70’s and very few clouds in the sky.
The priority today was a visit to the Kapaia Stitchery which is a wonderful quilt shop. We’ve visited several times before and is a “must visit” for every quilter. In fact a few of Robin’s skirts were made with fabric purchased here and there is more in her future. Check it out
The people at the shop were so nice. We called them in the morning and asked how to best get to the shop, Uber or Taxi? She told us to hop on the free Walmart Shuttle Bus and when we got there to call them and they’d come pick us up. Sure enough we took the Walmart shuttle and didn’t even go inside. We called and within 5 minutes she was there to take us to the shop. When we were done shopping she would either take us back to Walmart to catch the shuttle for the ship or she would take us back down to the harbor. Since we wanted to go to Duke’s for lunch it worked out perfect. We were very grateful and thoroughly enjoy are visit and ride.
Time for lunch, we certainly didn’t want to miss a meal.
So Duke’s it was.
We had a very nice lunch sitting on the patio looking out at the ocean.
It was then time to get back on board and prepare to sail to Lahaina and our last day in Hawaii.
Not exactly the greatest view but this was the dock where we came and went from the ship.Tomorrow we anchor off of Lahaina and board a Tender to go a shore. It should be a fun day.
Enjoy,
John and Robin
