Today was the BIG day……………………Zip line day. Time to check something off our bucket list.
It’s a raining overcast day in Hilo but that doesn’t stand in the way of having a great one.
This is what we saw as we approached the 1st of 8 zip line runs. You’d think we’d be nervous but surprisingly we were excited but not scared or nervous. This was the perfect place to experience our 1st zip line, right in the middle of a rain forest. The “crew” was young and energetic and it was all about safety.
The 1st run of the day was rather short but exciting.
This run is planned for a photo opportunity. They actually stagger your start so that they can get a picture of two people with the waterfall in the center. That’s John on the left and Robin on the right.
The last run of the day is over 1/2 mile long and you can start off holding hands. Thankfully they take a lot of pictures so hopefully this one shows us smiling. We were definitely smiling on the inside even if it doesn’t show on the outside.
We were exhausted after all the excitement and headed back to the ship to relax and get ready for another terrific dinner in the dining room. YES, we did have a before dinner cocktail but decided to forgo the photo op since it looked exactly like the previous night, Manhattan for John, French Martini for Robin.
After dinner we watched a movie (no idea what it was) and then hit the sack early. Tomorrow is Honolulu and a chance to get out, walk around and just enjoy the day.
Hugs,
John and Robin
