We started our day with a light breakfast in our cabin. The coffee was hot and a great way to start our day. Here’s our lovely view out the window. Unfortunately It was over cast and basically pretty yucky all day. But what the heck, we’re on vacation and there’s lots to do.
While John attended an exercise class, Robin wandered the ship and visited the Internet Cafe. Once I’ve written a blog post I head over there in order to upload our Blog. Next up, a light lunch in the buffet followed by our 1st Ukulele lesson.
Just like yesterday, with the tug boat having Robin’s name, today’s sign that it would be a wonderful day.was this.
There were a whole lot of people at the first ukulele lesson. . They had 70 ukuleles so there is actually a waiting list to get in. We are in and are planning to attend the class every at sea day. They had ukuleles in every color imaginable and as you stand in line to sign in they just hand you one. Guess who got a red one? Now isn’t that a good omen?
Here’s just an awful picture of Tiki Dave our instructor. He was a lot of fun, we learned 4 cords and ended the session by playing and singing Pearly Shells.
And then it was time for our fist cocktail of the day. If you think the Bloody Mary was Robin’s and the beer John’s you would be mistaken. John says it was the best Bloody March he’s ever had, so that’s a nice complement.
the rest of the day just flew by. We tried a rum tasting but decided we really are not rum lovers unless it’s in a Mai Tai.
No rum here but two very tasty before dinner cocktails. Dinner was nice, not spectacular but good food and nice company. We followed up dinner by attending the show. It starred David Klinkenberg playing the Violin. It was a lot of fun, Once it was over we were headed back to our cabin,
We almost made it before we got sidetracked by the Explorers Lounge.
Wednesday is formal night so I guess we have to get gussied up. Now it’s time to kick back and put together a plan for the day. Or maybe not, maybe we’ll just kick back and relax.
Hugs,
John and Robin. .
