Today was our final full day of vacation. It’s been a great one but now it time to go home and get ready for the holidays.
We started off the morning with a visit to………..where else? Starbucks! Believe it or not this is the first Starbucks we’ve visited since leaving Southern California.
John had a hot coffee on the left and Robin a cold coffee on the right. We’re like two peas in a pod.
Next it was off to find the “Pink Trolley” and head to the Ala Moana Shopping center. The picture below was stolen from the internet but you get the idea. It really was a double decker trolley.
But guess what is just a block north of the trolley stop? Wal-Mart,of course. So after a quick visit to Wal-Mart it was back to the Ala Moana Shopping center and a visit to the food court for lunch. If you haven’t been to the food court there, let’s just say it is HUGE with an extremely wide variety of food choices. John chose to have chicken satay with peanut sauce from a Thai vendor but Robin couldn’t take it any longer and broke down and had this.
It certainly wasn’t the best Mexican food but it was better than no Mexican food. Well actually the beans were worse than that but the rest was OK. It certainly wasn’t El Burrito Junior in Seal Beach.
Tonight was spent hanging out at the Hotel. It is a huge property and reminds us of a big spread out hotel like Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Here are a few shot around the grounds.
This is a picture of the Tapa Tower where our room is.
A picture looking down the beach towards the rest of Waikiki Beach.
Here is a picture of the Hau Tree bar where we enjoyed our final Mai Tai on Oahu.
Until the next time, the best Mai Tai’s around.
One last sunset. You know we have beautiful sunsets in Seal Beach but for some reason these are special.
Tomorrow is our travel day home. We’ve had a great time but we’re both looking forward to Home Sweet Home.
Hugs,
John and Robin
