Not a lot to share today. We left D.C. this morning and had a very uneventful flight to Boston (the best kind of flights, I must say). Once we arrived and picked up our rental car we headed to Boston’s North End to have a late lunch of Italian Food. We found a wonderful little restaurant and enjoyed a nice quite lunch/dinner. Then we were on the road.
The drive was a fairly easy one. We brought our GPS, (Ellen is her name) along with us and once again she did a terrific job of giving us great directions that took us to the front door of the Kennebunk Inn.
It is a beautiful old Inn that was founded in 1799. Our room is quite nice with a King Size bed and antique furniture (at least I think it’s antique, except for the bed).
The bathroom is teeny tiny but it has everything a person needs. We’re happy and plan to enjoy our time in Maine.
We’re not sure what’s on the agenda for tomorrow but it no doubt will include another Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives visit. We’ll let you know tomorrow night what we find. For now, we’re in for the evening, although it’s only 9:30.
The wireless here is iffy, so it looks like this will not get published until tomorrow.
Hugs,
John and Robin
