Day 6- October 8, 2015

 

This morning bright and early we arrived in Ensenada and woke up to a beautiful sunrise. 

Our plan for the day was to kick back, relax and not do much of anything.  This was the view from our cabin.

We did manage to get off the ship, but only as far as the dock so that we could buy some vanilla and have a Cerveza. 

Mission accomplished.

We had a great evening (sorry no pictures) having dinner with the other Delius travelers, enjoying a wonderful dinner along with a wine pairing of Italian wines.  I guess we aren’t the best wine tasters, we loved them all but honestly they kind of all tasted the same. 

After dinner we enjoyed an after dinner drink in the Crooner’s lounge and ended up sharing our little table and chairs with six new friends from England.  They were a very friendly group that live right on the border of Scotland.  So, although they weren’t Scottish they certainly had a very Scottish accent.  A little difficult to understand but a joy to visit with.

John’s daily food review -

Breakfast – 8 – Our first visit to the dining room for breakfast.  John was planning on having eggs benedict but it wasn’t listed on the menu.  But when he asked about it they were more than happy to make it for him.  He loved it.  Robin had a pancake and bacon, nothing fancy but how can you go wrong?

Lunch – 8 – Pizza up on deck.  Surprisingly it was great pizza and hit the spot knowing that we had a big nice dinner ahead of us.

Dinner – 8 – Sabatini’s with the Delius group.  A five course dinner featuring lobster three ways.  Delish! 

We’re now headed to our last stop, San Diego.  Definitely looking forward to some good Mexican food for lunch.
