Day 2 - Sunday - March 13, 2022

Today was an “At Sea” day as we head to San Francisco.  Unfortunately it was overcast, gloomy, windy and pretty cold.  Other than that we were on a gorgeous ship, lots of food and plenty of drinks, sort of a perfect way to spend a lazy Sunday.

After having breakfast in the cabin and getting cleaned up, we decided to explore the ship a little bit.  We checked out the spa and then the fitness center.  They were both very nice but probably not for us this trip.  Although it was blistering cold and windy on the pool deck we found a glass walkway that extends off the side of the ship so that you look down at the ocean below.

We walked to the aft of the ship to look out at the beautiful wake left behind us.  There is a lovely Wake View Bar that we will try out later this week when it’s warmer.

For lunch we made it to the Chopsticks Noodle Bar.  We had heard so much about it and sure enough, it didn’t disappoint.  There were 3 choices and then the chef adds any toppings/ condiments that you would like.  Here were the choices for the day, plus John’s bowl that is halfway gone but was soon empty.

Oh and of course we had a beer with out lunch.

Tonight was a formal night, unfortunately we forgot to take a self portrait but just close your eyes and picture us looking very snappy and dressy.  We did have some portraits taken by the professionals but we haven’t seen them yet.  Stay tuned!

Our before dinner refreshments…..

Another French Martini for Robin and a Jack Daniels on the rocks for John.  We then headed to the Concerto Dining Room for dinner.  The food was wonderful but the service was questionable.  We weren’t sure what the problem was but something just was not as it should be.  Hopefully that’s an exception,  But like I said the food was wonderful.

After dinner we had planned to go to the show but we were tired (such a busy day 🥴) we headed back to our cabin.  Time to get a good nights sleep.  Tomorrow we get to see our San Francisco family.  Here we come Crisy, Paolo and Emilio.

Hugs,

John and Robin
